Young Little Blue Heron @ Ramapo Reservation

Trish Albanese writes:  "I saw this little guy at the Ramapo Reservation on Monday around 11:30 a.m. I found him down by the water, at the first foot bridge you'd cross. There is a small path, to the right, just prior to the bridge."

    Wow–a terrific find! Not only is this a rare bird anywhere in Bergen co–but its the first known/reported record for Ramapo Reservation! I will add this to the e-bird database.
    ps I stopped by at lunch today–no heron 🙁
