Waxwings Top Magical Celery Farm Day
I was fortunate enough to walk around the Celery Farm three times today, and each time brought new sights, new birds, new ideas.
Because I am a huge Cedar Waxwing fan (as is my wife, Patty), the highlight of the day was seeing trees full of waxwings twice today.
The only time I didn't was when I walked with Patty. Life can be so unfair.
(A waxwing from today is at left.)
They should be around tomorrow (Thursday) as well — head for the Pirie Mayhood Platform and look for crab apples.
Also a November Palm Warbler, wagging its tail as usual.
Pardon the angle but it is a pretty good diagnostic.
Picture that crazy tail wagging up and down.
The afternoon light (above) wasn't chopped liver either.
Just sayin'.
