This 54-second video shows the release of a Laura, a rehabilitated Red-shouldered Hawk, on March 15, 2008.
The female was found by the side of a road in Ramsey and taken to the Raptor Trust in Millington, where she was nursed back to health.
Marsh Warden Stiles Thomas named the hawk "Laura" after Laura of Ramsey, who reported the injured raptor to Stiles.
He released Laura the Red-shoulder to much applause at the Celery Farm Natural Area in Allendale.
That is so awesome! I never saw it before.
