Unusual Bajor Blog & Classic Video

If you know a bit about the Celery Farm, you know that it was once at least two farms — the Apperts' and the Bajors'.

You probably don't know that two of the Bajor granddaughters now have their own knitting and crocheting blog, called Bajor Lane.

"Welcome to Bajor Lane, our grandparents' celery farm, a place we have always found inspirational and comforting."

One of those grandadughters is Patricia L. Cooper, who did the awesome video and poem,  "Layers of Memories."  She also sent me a digital copy of her granddad's 1948 Farm Bureau membership and did that landscape on fabric of the old Bajor Farm (above).

The other is Marie Breen, who sent me some digital copies of the Bajor Farm as well, which I will post as time allows…

The link to their blog is here. (Thanks, Pat and Marie!)

This is a fond look back at the Celery Farm Natural Area when it consisted of working farms, and some sweet childhood memories.

It features Patricia Cooper reading her poem "Layers of Memories," about the old days of the celery farms in Allendale.

The video includes nifty archival images and music by the Hunger Mountain Boys.
