Nature Done Wright

Monday's somewhat gruesome mystery attracted a lot of interest and a few replies.

The mystery was a tad arcane as well, but I thought the photo was really unusual — you just don't see Redtails with a bird of prey as prey.

Three voters so far have gone with Cooper's Hawk, and an expert friend of mine agrees, based on the size of the tail and claws.
