Last Thursday, four Brookside eight-graders went to work lugging wood chips from the Franklin Turnpike parking lot to the muddy Black Rail Trail.
It was hot and humid, the wood chips were wet and heavy, the young men of the Group 31 Service Learning Project did a great job.
Mike Buckley manned the rake. The trail is a lot less soggy thanks to their efforts!
