Ridgefield Park Eagles Are on an Egg!

IMG_0651
Great news: Don Torino of Bergen County Audubon reports that Al and Alice, the Ridgefield Park Bald Eagles, appear to be incubating an egg.  Eagle-eyed Jill Homcy has been keeping a watch on the nest.

Al the male has been seen doing relief duty when Alice left the nest.

At lunch time today he flew by the nest. Later on, he perched nearby. As you may have guessed, from the photos, I was pretty far away.

Above, Alice is on the nest in the lower left; Al is on the upper right. Below, Alice's head is barely above the bowl. (Thanks, Don — and Jill!)
