A New Facebook Campaign
I recently started a new Facebook page for Protect Our Wildlife and Pets, an ad hoc coalition formed to address…
Stopped by the Ridgefield Park Bald Eagle nest yesterday — viewing it from Ridgefield.
Saw the top of a white head on the nest right away, but that was about it.
After about 30 minutes another Bald Eagle appeared, soaring overhead.
Missing a feather and wearing a transmitter? It had to be the female, Alice.
Ten minutes later, Alice returned and landed in the nest (above). Al took off soon after (below). Just can't beat the changing of the guard.
Alice and Al are clearly incubating eggs.
The nights have been cold, and most nearby water frozen. So far, so good.
