A New Facebook Campaign
I recently started a new Facebook page for Protect Our Wildlife and Pets, an ad hoc coalition formed to address…
In addition to a ton of Wood Duck activity, I'd estimate there had to be 100 Tree Swallows on Lake Appert.
(I think the Hour on the Tower folks call the above shrub on Lake Appert the Swallow Bush.)
Also: Red Fox on the trail near the Limatola Bench, and a Solitary Sandpiper and a very shady Northern Waterthrush along the brook. The waterthrush has been something of a nemesis. My last eBird sighting at the CF was six years ago today.
Lots of Yellows and Common Yellow-throats and a few Yellow Rumps. (Yellow was the color of the day.)
