When I got to the Warden's Watch yesterday afternoon, I sat hunched down just to see if anything would come in close.

A few Northern Shovelers soon obliged.

As soon as I got my camera above railing level, they took off, the male reminding me for some reason of an Italian (or Mexican) flag.
