This Friday, Jan. 24, owl aficianado Don Torino is presenting a free talk, "Owls of New Jersey," for the Fyke Nature Association at the Allendale Municipal Building.
Don, the president of the Bergen County Audubon Society, will discuss the many owl species that can be seen in our area.
"Owls are mysterious creatures of the night, and are steeped in folklore and mythology," according the program notes. "More than any other group of birds, nature lovers are in awe of them."
The talk is open to the public. The Municipal Building is located at 500 West Crescent Ave. in Allendale.
