Ken Wiegand put up the new conservation sign at the Celery Farm, helping to raise awareness of the severe decline in the Rusty Blackbird population.
The sign is by Barking Dog Corner. We trimmed back the vines so you can see read the sign now — but not so much in the summer when Rusties are up north.
I did my latest column on the bird and the sign on Thursday. You can read it here.
If you see a Rusty at the Celery Farm, take a photo and let me know.
