Monday Morning Mystery 042516
Did Alice Leurck say something about a Wilson's Snipe in this photo, or an American Woodcock perhaps? If so, what and where?
Just trying to make it a mystery fit for a Monday morning.

I have to concur…snipe.

My friend and I saw it today as well. Had a good look and after much discussion decided it was a snipe. Initially thought it was a Woodcock, but the markings on the head were wrong.

I see it too. Right by the water like dead center. I’m going to agree that based on coloring and pattern, it’s a Snipe.

Dead center, from both sides, the top and the bottom. From what I can see, I would say Snipe.
