Ken Wiegand photographed this unusual bird nest in the Adirondacks. Can anyone tell him what species it belong to? It includes pine needle nesting materials and birch bark on the exterior.

(We know the answer if you don't.)

    Many years ago, I remember seeing a Red-eyed Vireo’s nest hung between a Y in a sapling’s branches deep in the woods of Pennsylvania, similar to the nest in the photo. However, I do not recall what was on the outside of the nest. It may have been Birch bark. So, I too would guess Vireo’s nest. I just can’t say which Vireo.
