Here's another mystery from 8-year-old Elizabeth, who visited the Celery Farm recently and wondered:
Why are Crab Aples called Crab Apples?

Crab apples are wild apples. They are very sour and astringent.
Branches of the tree on which the apples grow are supposed to resemble crab legs.
