Monday Morning Mystery 010818: Skull
Found this skull wrapped in leaves by the Celery Farm last week.
I wonder what kind of skull, and how it got wrapped in leaves.

Since the bottom jaw is missing and the front of the snout seems damaged, you would not see the classic incisors, so I am going to guess some kind of rodent. Anything from a vole to a squirrel.
Link to a photo of a damaged vole skull.

How big was the skull? Can’t tell from photos.

The molars are flat for grinding. Skull is elongated but too small for a deer.
Fawn ? Stashed for future eating? -
Oof…at least it is not my skull, lol. Such bare bones. I would say canine also but hmmm. Wouldn’t the fangs be longer though? In the front that is? And actually the snout is not that long and thin like a fox. Maybe a groundhog? I wish there was a better picture from the top.

I going to say Deer ….A crow like to peck on bones maybe he wrapped it in leaves for later ???

Canine. Perhaps a fox
