Dear Owl Guys,
The screech owl in my backyard laid her first egg on April 1, and now I am beginning to think it was an April Fool’s joke.
I keep reading that incubation starts after the first egg is laid, and that it takes 26 to 31 days.
Mrs. Ace had laid four eggs now, and no babies yet.
So either I am missing something, or Mrs. Ace is not exactly Polly Punctual.
