Thanks to the incredible Rob Fanning, I got my first Louisiana Waterthrush in years at the Celery Farm this a.m.
Rob saw it fly to the stream behind my house, where I got a fleeting look, below. (Gives you an idea how hard they can be to see.)
Later, I took the pic above from the bridge at the parking lot, looking toward my house, at 9 a.m.
Rob writes:
"Only about my 6th record at the CF in over 30 years of birding–it also represents a new early arrival date (prev. 4/12) and is my first spring sighting at the CF in 6 years."
