Kudos for NYC’s Javits Center

I know this is a little beyond the scope of this blog, but I was recently alerted to a New York Times editorial applauding Manhattan's Javits Center for becoming more environmentally friendly.

Here's a sample:  "The center now features a 6.75-acre living green roof, bird protective glass and a new population of insects that bats can’t resist.

"Five species of bats have unexpectedly been attracted to this new urban habitat on the West Side along with a flurry of bird species like foraging American Kestrels, according to delighted watchers at the New York City Audubon Society."

Bravo.

You can read it here.
