John Fell’s Arrest Reenacted: Sunday, April 24

Join the Friends of the Fell House on April 24 between 11 a.m. And 3 p.m. for a day of free history and Earth Day events.

At noon, Heard's Brigade will reenact Founding Father John Fell's arrest by British Loyalists on April 22, 1777.

There will be colonial history activities and Earth Day activities for all ages throughout the day.

The Celery Farm was once part of John Fell's estate, and called Fell's Meadows.

The reenactment of John Fell's arrest is made possible by the Winifred M. and George P. Pitkin Foundation.

If you for some weird reason prefer nature to history, Greenbrook Nature Sanctuary opens its gates to the public on the same day from noon to 3 p.m. as an introduction to the sanctuary and a membership growth effort.

View the award winning Orientation Center, join short guided nature walks (no free roaming), and  enjoy light refreshments.
