My High Mountain Talks: Allendale tonight, Oakland & Ridgewood

IMG_1681Looking forward to doing three High Mountain talks this week — in Allendale, Oakland and Ridgewood.

High Mountain Park Preserve is one of the great spots to hike and enjoy nature in North Jersey's backyard. The preserve, located in nearby Passaic County, offers great views to the east as well as 11.5 miles of hiking trails — with a few birds to enjoy along the way.

The 40-minute talks include recent nature shots, aerial photography and archival images. (The photo above was taken for The Nature Conservancy last October with the help of LightHawk.)

They are free and open to the public.

The talks are:

Monday, Aprill 11, 7 p.m., Lee Memorial Library, 500 W. Crescent Ave., Allendale. http://leememoriallibrary.org.

Tuesday, April 12, 7 p.m., Oakland Public Library, 2 Municipal Plaza. www.oaklandnjlibrary.org. Please register by phone at 201-337-3742 or online by Clicking Here.

Wednesday, April 13, 7 p.m., Ridgewood Library, 125 N. Maple Ave. ridgewoodlibrary.org.
