Here’s to Cicada Killers!

Wasps of all sorts seem to have a bad rep, often undeserved.

Take the Cicada Killer Wasps seen around sandy soils in Allendale of late, including Lee Memorial Library.

These wasps are harmless to humans unless provoked, and they help curb the cicada population by killing them in a most unusual way.

They are beneficial.Please leave them be!
