The great group of birders that I try to do my Christmas Bird Count with always meets on the day of the count at Lee Memorial Library in Allendale.
We were fortunate to see a lot of birds, including a Peregrine, a Common Raven, a Pileated Woodpecker and a Red-shouldered Hawk (a favorite of many).
For me, the bird of the day was perched outside the library.
