A New Facebook Campaign
I recently started a new Facebook page for Protect Our Wildlife and Pets, an ad hoc coalition formed to address…
In 1933, the first day of trout season in New Jersey was April 15, and Acme Photographs took this pic of boys fishing in the Saddle River in Ho-Ho-Kus.
Here's what it says on the back:
TROUT SEASON OPENS IN NEW JERSEY.
Rods were dusted off and flies repaired by fishermen as the trout season opened in New Jersey on April 15th. A group fishing in the Saddle RIver at HoHoKus, N.J. Left to right: Glendon Alfast, Charles Catanzo, Bill McCullough, and Martin Viviano. 4/15/33
Does anyone recognize any of these names? Let me know….
I know right where that photo was taken and have heard the name Alfast, around town over the years.
