Nature Done Wright

Today is Day 2 of my #challengeonnaturephotography (post 7 nature photos in 7 days). I was nominated by Kevin Watson.

I took this shot four years ago in Fred's Field in the Celery Farm — just love the pale purple of the Bee Balm through the clear wings of this Hummingbird Moth. Had to shoot at a very high speed to "freeze" the moth's wings.

This guy was in very good condition in more ways than one. It reportedly flaps its wings 25 to 30 times a second.
