Day Six of the Nature Photography Challenge
Today is Day 6 of my #challengeonnaturephotography (post 7 nature photos in 7 days). I was nominated by Kevin Watson.
This is a photo of a Pale Beauty moth taking shelter under a fallen elm leaf in Franklin Clove at High Mountain Park Preserve in Wayne (near the Franklin Lakes border). The preserve is owned by Wayne Township, the state of New Jersey and The Nature Conservancy.
The clove itself provided shelter for members of the Lenape tribe 400 years ago.

What an eye you have. Is that you you ‘captured” Patty, too? Sweet.

I was lucky and delighted. I was looking at fallen foliage for a photo possibility and saw the moth. A friend helped ID the moth and the leaf, which added a lot to the photo.
Thanks. -
You have a sharp eye. What a beautiful picture. Were you surprised upon finding this?

Beautiful, can’t believe how you noticed this and took such a tender shot
