Not sure if the accent in the headline is Scottish or Jamaican, but the coot is all-American.

The two Celery Farm coots now seem totally oblivious to humanoids.

This guy swam right past the Warden's Watch yesterday afternoon while three of us were looking for the Redhead (didn't see him).

The coot and his pal gave us great views of their red eyes, goofy motions and all-around cootliness. More on American Coots here.
