John Pastore shared these photos, taken this morning. He writes:
Spent about an hour on Warden's Watch. I was surprised to see Lake Appert nearly completely iced over. It was extremely quiet. Just two geese, and a distant Kingfisher. Even the Red-winged Blackbirds were 'holding their tongues.'
I was ready to give up and head over to Halifax Road, when looked back toward the spillway and saw a fish flopping on the ice.
Immediately, I saw a mink enter the water to retrieve the fish. The mink enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, and then had a nap.
