A New Facebook Campaign
I recently started a new Facebook page for Protect Our Wildlife and Pets, an ad hoc coalition formed to address…
One of the goals of the recent Belize trip was to see the Scarlet Macaws at Red Bank in southern Belize.
We did not get great views, but I got one or two decent shots — the birds never came close.
We saw maybe 18 Scarlet Macaws in all — mostly across a valley. The word we got from one animal rescue person was that all of the pairs have relocated successfully in the wake of the construction of a hydroelectric dam (and destruction of their habitat).
More on Scarlet Macaws here (links to Belize Zoo Scarlet Macaw page).
