Bear Bends Feeder Pole; Trap Camera Needed!

DSCN9995On Saturday night, someone bent the steel pipe that holds Stiles and Sis Thomas' bird feeders (above).  (They live not far from the Celery Farm.)

They suspect a black bear.  Apparently the baffle on the pole was not sufficient.

Stiles and Sis would love to borrow a trap camera in hopes of catching the bear in action. And I would be interested in hearing about any baffles designed to stop bears.

Can anybody help?

I am looking to borrow a trap camera for a week. Is yours available?

  • I have one. Can drop it off

  • If it was a bear, a shield/baffle won’t keep the pole from being bent. Only a pole of greater diameter. Sorry, don’t know of whereabouts of a trap camera.
