I was out back [next to the Celery Farm] and heard birds screaming. I looked up and a bunch of robins, red bellies and catbirds were going crazy.
I looked down and there was a mink fighting with a squirrel. The mink took the squirrel to the stream and drowned it – very weird. I watched it for about 3 minutes. They were in the water near the path.
Some people came by and I told them there was a mink, and I think they thought I was crazy. The mink came out – no squirrel– and ran away, but the people loved it.
They thought it was a ferret, but it was definitely a mink! My first sighting — even if it was kind of bizarre.
