A Coupla Monday Mysteries Answered

DSCN9324-003On Monday I posted this photo from Bear Mountain State Park  last month and asked who it was.

Congrats to Tom Mitchell and Janet Terchek for correctly IDing this Red Eft.

DSCN9422A week earlier, I asked what was going on in the photo above. The answer: Eight Mallard ducklings tare staying warm and cuddling against a feather duster at the Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital. They had been rescued from a storm drain and were awaiting transport (by me) to The Raptor Trust.

Congrats to Marianne H. and Ginny C. for IDing the situation correctly, and a nod to Mike L. for his bad pun.

    I love the whole feather duster idea. One of my favorite things is creativity in the face of crisis. Keeping calm and applying what you know in a creative way to make things better.
