Seen in the Celery Farm, along Parnell’s Path.

This one’s up way past its bedtime (or blooming time). It usually flowers in July–especially the luxurient specimens at Warden’s Watch. I’ve been hanging out so much at Phair’s that I’m losing track of what’s happening around the “track.”
“Cephalanthus occidentalis–long scientific names don’t disturb us.” (to paraphrase an old Burger King slogan)
