A Snowy Walk Around the Celery Farm

IMG_2174
Got up in time to be the first person to walk in the Celery Farm this morning. Not many birds — they were at my feeder. Did see a Winter Wren though, up by the Brotherton Bridge.

Made these shots black-and-white because they might make my other photos look more colorful.

  • I like how the perspective and the whiteness of the snow makes the ground seem smaller and more insular; even isolated or separate. The lack of definition on the ground gives structures like the platform and the bridge more presence breaking up the monotony.

  • Thanks Jim. Nice in B&W.

  • Canada Geese are on Lake Appert in the snow. Skaters are clearing some ice…

Thanks so much, Jim. The photos are still and beautiful and make me homesick.

  • thanks for taking pics this am. Was wondering how my farm looked.
