Big Dave, the State Line raptor counter on Sunday morning, brought along his owl decoy with flappable wings (right).  

A young Red-tail attacked the decoy a few times, coming in so low that I ducked.

Good practice for the feisty young Red-tail.

Junior, as it turns out, was unflappable.
