John Pastore found this guy last week. It was a Celery Farm life bird for me. To me, they look a little weird, close-up. And I must look a little weird to them.

I must set the record straight. Lynn McKenzie put me onto the bird. Lynn told me it was an ‘accidental spotting’ – she was looking at her pictures of April 22nd, on her camera, and in the background of a distant shot of some turtles was a funny looking Great Blue Heron. So Lynn was out at the ‘crack of early’, and was on the bird when I arrived on the morning of the 23rd. So, thank you, Lynn. It was a life-bird for me too.
