WREN OF A DIFFERENT FEATHER

Marsh wren

The Christmas Bird Counters also saw this wonderful Marsh Wren, a very nice bird for the Farm.
   More on Marsh Wrens here.
LITTLE KNOWN FACT: You can't spell "Marsh Warden" without "Marsh Wren" — whatever that means.

  • What a cute little guy and you captured him before he flitted away. I’ve never seen a marsh wren, but not I’ll be on the lookout for them.

  • Deedee Burnside

    Beautiful!!!!

  • In fact, just remove an “a” and a “d” from the warden to get the bird — whatever THAT means. But both the Warden and the wren are great specimens of their respective species!
