Wren fest
This has been a rare treat the past week: A Carolina wren at the feeder.
This guy is a spectacular-looking bird, and he can belt out a song like an avian Pavarotti.
More on him here.
I have been trying to keep my feeders filled. Birds have been flocking to it ever sinse last Thursday’s snow… Will try to post more pics of unusual feeder birds tomorrow — including an immature red-winged blackbird at this time of year, and a rusty blackbird.

I read just recently once again that feeding the birds is more of a benefit to those who watch than to those who feed. Just maybe it’s true most of the time, but in bad weather, I do believe feeders save the lives of some birds. I look forward to more of your feeder pics.
