Wood Ducks House-hunting!
Talk about timing!
Mike Limatola, Kevin Watson and I installed two Wood Duck boxes yesterday at the Celery Farm and cleaned out a few others.
This morning I looked out the window to see Wood Ducks swimming around the box closest to the Warden's Watch — and a female atop the box.
By the time I got out to the point, they had flown. But my bet is that they'll be back. Isn't April great?

Such good news. Rent free entices. I keep thinking Stiles first spring not here but I am sure he is already “known” where they are living.
