Waxwings plus
If you haven’t seen the wonderful waxwings by the Warden’s Watch, they are still there.
This weekend might be your last good chance.
I saw several this morning, along with a phoebe (right, upper left) and this marsh mallow (bottom).
My wife had planted them along the brook a year or two ago, and I fretted that they would get washed away in the first heavy rain, when stormwater run-off from the Franklin Turnpike floods the brook as it passes the Celery Farm.
I’m happy to say that it survived.
Yes, it’s supposed to be native, and yes, that’s jewelweed in bloom near it.

I liked the pic of the phoebe, haven’t seen one in awhile.
Yeah the birds must be leaving. The bird seed in the backyard is now lasting a LONG time.
