Warblers

    As I reported in The Record today, warblers have been seen in great variety in North Jersey this month.

   Unfortunately, warbler watching has gotten exceedingly difficult for all but the experts in the past week in New Jersey.

   The leaves have returned to most trees, and the flitty warblers are identified mostly by their calls instead of their plumage.

   I have enough  trouble identifying warblers on sight, let alone by ear.

   Here are a couple of warblers I was lucky enough to photograph in the past nine days at the Celery Farm.

    Common yellowthroat:
