Video of the Bajor Farm Zoom Talk

Here's the bare-bones video of the Zoom talk featuring two sisters from Allendale talking about growing up next to their grandparents' farm in Allendale in the 1950s.

The slide-show runs about 38 minutes and features lots of archival photos, as well as aerial photos of the area in 1931, 1953, 1966, 1979, 1995, 2007 and 2017.

The sisters are Marie Breen and Patricia L. Cooper. I interviewed these two wonderful women and produced this video, using the audio and images from the Zoom talk with the sisters on Jan. 13.

(Had a technical glitch so had to reconstruct the talk. My apologies if some images aren't in great sync with the talk. I also had difficulty incorporating "Layers of Memories," Pat Cooper's wonderful tribute to the Celery Farm, so I am providing a link to the old YouTube video of her poem here.)

A big thank you to Marie and Pat, and to everyone who watched.

Sponsored by the Fyke Nature Association, the John Fell House, the Lee Memorial Library and the Northwest Bergen History Coalition, with a grant from the Winifred M. & George P. Pitkin Foundation.

  • Fantastic! Thanks to Marie and Pat for sharing all of this info, and to you Jim for facilitating it and then going the extra mile to record and reconstruct it. I missed the original presentation and was pretty disappointed. Loved getting this historical look at a place where I spend so much time, and even getting some mysteries answered. 🙂

Awesome. Thank you Jim, and especially thank you to Pat and Marie. You are in my mind, Allendale Royalty.
