Hardy Kern, Director of Government Relations for The American Bird Conservancy writes:
A group of Attorneys General
are petitioning the EPA to block states, counties, and cities from protecting their wildlife and communities from harmful pesticides.
The petition alleges that putting additional warning labels on pesticides known to cause immense harm constitutes "misbranding" under Federal pesticide law. Furthermore, the language used could be easily construed to preempt efforts being taken to protect wildlife and ecosystems from pesticides.
Please consider signing onto this letter by 4 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 19) urging the EPA to not grant the petition. It only takes a minute or two.
