Two New Red-shoulder Arrivals — baby and iTunes eBook!

Stiles Thomas just called to let me know that he saw Laura, Allendale's favorite Red-shouldered Hawk, feeding a piece of snake to a new hatchling.

Congrats to Laura and her mate.

In an amazing coincidence, I learned today that "Survival: The Red-shouldered Hawks of Allendale" — the book that Jerry Barrack and I did with the help of so many of you — is now available on iTunes for download to iPads and iPhones.

The book features some amazing growing-up shots of Manfred (Laura's offspring last year), an interview with Stiles, plus everything you wanted to know about Red-shouldered Hawks in general and Allendale's enadangered hawks in particular.

All our proceeds go to The Raptor Trust, which rehabbed Laura after she was found injured four years ago.
