T.V. time
I know what you’re thinking: It must have been a slow day at Hawk Mountain the other day.
And it was. But unlike the sharpies and other hurrying hawks, at least guy glided about and let me take his picture instead of zipping by.
Believe it or not, I was struck by this bird’s grace. Reminds me of the old fortune cookie saying, "Even dirt glitters when he Sun is shining."
Turkey vultures might be the poor second cousins of the raptor clan, and they may have some disgusting habits, but in many ways they’re neat nonetheless.

We’re all benefitting from their so-called disgusting habits.
I think scavengers, specially crows got a bad reputation because they were often found feasting on the dead after a battle. Kind of ironic, we killed each other and hated the birds because of it? 😉 -
Gosh, it almost makes me re-think my dislike of them…almost. But, trust me, see about 70 of them in your spruce trees, from October – May, and you’ll feel the way I do.
