Tour of Celery Farm for a rainy day
For those who can’t make it to the Celery Farm for reasons of geography, time, weather, or circumstance, I thought I would present a quick walking tour of a dozen images or so.
A few quick notes. These photos were taken Thursday morning. The holly bushes, some of which were thought to have expired earlier this year, are thriving.
A lot of the leaves on the ground are green — as some North Jersey climatologists predicted this fall. But there are the usual oranges and reds and yellows as well.
And yes, I noticed a little bit of ice forming around the rim of the lake in places that had not yet received sunlight.

The Celery Farm is in Allendale, NJ, about a mile from Route 17’s Allendale Exit. The main entrance is a parking lot on the Franklin Turnpike about a hundred yards from Cottage Place.
