 About 10:45 AM a silent PILEATED WOODPECKER flew over the Warden's
Watch. I almost missed it as it was quickly approaching the stand when
I first noticed it and it came in at a strange angle where I couldn't
tell what it was until I got it in the bins.

   It was just about the last
bird I was expecting to see–since it is only the 2nd one I've ever
seen at the CF–the first sighting being something like 15 years ago.

    A HERMIT THRUSH at Phair's Pond was another CF year bird for me.
Also good looks at Palm (2), Pine (1), and Yellow-rumped (2) Warblers as well as a Ruby-crowned Kinglet.

Notes:     Pileated Wood–flew over Warden's Watch at 10:46 AM. Did not
call. Only my 2nd ever seen at the CF in thousands of visits. Previous
sighting was approx 15+ years ago!
