THE FANNING REPORT 120408

Rob sez:

Tuesday there were 2 MARSH WRENS at the Scout Platform/bridge. Yesterday
one uncharacteristically popped into plain view for some great looks. A
GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET near Kicky-poo Corner was also a welcomed treat
on this cold morning.

Great Blue and 4 Coot were in the open water
before the Warden's Watch. 2 Red-tails were nearby w/ one very closely
eyeing the Coots and Mallards. From the corner of my eye I saw it take
a swoop downward–but no meal-o-Coot or fillet-o-Mallard was to be
had–at least not yet.
