The Fanning Report 042611

Rob sez:

A wonderful Tuesday morning at the farm was highlighted by great looks at a PRAIRIE WARBLER–my first ever SEEN at the CF in the SPRING! Other new arrivals for me were BLUE-WINGED WARBLER (2, 1 seen), BLACK THROATED GREEN WARBLER, and PURPLE FINCH (2 female-types–first spotted by Rich Klockner)

Other good birds incl. N. WATERTHRUSH (3, 1 seen), Com. Yellowthroat (3, 1 seen), BLUE-HEADED VIREO, WARBLING VIREO, and BALTIMORE ORIOLE. 2 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS were seen by not glimpsed.

Ah–spring!
