The Crossley Raptor ID Book Blog Tour
In an effort to try something different, I thought I'd team with the Princeton University Press on a blog tour of Richard Crossley's new raptor ID book.
On Friday, I'll post a page of the book's illustrations of Red-shouldered Hawks, in honor of Allendale's own celebrated family of Red-shoulders.
I thought it would be a nice fit, since Red-shoulders — and especially young Red-shoulders — can be hard to ID…
More on the blog tour is here.

Thanks. Yes, we were kidding about the CF being closed today… A long-running joke…

You have got to be kidding about being closed April 1st, today! The parking lot was one quarter full when I showed up.
Please relay this information to the three-person crew observing the white duck with a scope on the back pond by the large houses. I assume they were serious when they asked me to please look it up. I did! it was an albino mallard. Yes, you could have fooled me, too! This was my first sighting. The lady with the scope said it had pink feet and that’s what the albino mallard is supposed to have. this was the only active message box I could find with Celery Farm’s name on it.
Regards,
Gene
